You ask if she's alright
She answers that she's fine
But she can't tell you
That that isn't tue
She's bleeding inside
But she doesn't know why
The smile she has
Is just a disguise
It makes her look okay
But she can't tell you
That she's hurting inside
With many a pain
How would you react
If she were to tell you
What really is happening
That's what she's afraid of
That maybe you won't love her
Or anger may spread to her face
It has been said by her
That you always had a caring heart
Full of love and joy
Would that fade if she were to tell you
Her lover
About her pain?
The pain she feels
Is unknown to her
A walking shadow covering itself
But she knows it's there
But doesn't know why
Or how it got there
Should she ask
Or let it stay locked away
From view and voice
Of an uncaring world
Her secret safe
From those who make rumors
You've seen a change in her
A change that concerns you
Wonder what it is
She won't tell
She couldn't tell
It would pain her to let it sip
Barred and locked
It lies awake
With a gruesome glare
It wants out
Nothing will condemn
Or contain the beast
That night it comes out
Showing its form in true
She feels it's time to tell you
That many a pain she has suffered
Condemning inside the pain
Of forelorne and loss
You show no emotion
From what she says
It's almost certain
Pain for you
That she wouldn't tell
Sooner than now
She blanks but feels warmth
And awakens
Seeing you're holding her
In your arms
She's happy to know you're saying
"It's alright"
Tears fall down
Reddened cheeks
Of she and you
Together you shall be
Of spirit, mind, and body
Of everlasting and evermore
She answers that she's fine
But she can't tell you

A Letter To A Friend
Congratulations, I suppose is in order.
Unintended consequences underway,
And time reveals someone really did care.
Now a perfect stranger.
I’ve missed and mourned you like the dead.
I’ve asked myself a million times, "What the fuck did I do…?"
I’ve grieved for a year, and my heart still aches.
Just another passing friendship, I hadn’t realized it at first.
I shrugged it off in the beginning, we both had ‘better’ things to do.
I’ve run into your folks since then, but hardly had the heart to greet them.
Is this what’s become of us? It seems I was right before I knew it to be true.

The Key to a Boy's Heart
No sooner had hoary hair and scarlet eyes caught in the boundaries of her own vision, did her heart accelerate; fifty tons more adrenaline than a normal human body should contain dumping into her blood stream.

She sat cross-legged on a hill, the clouds in the sky making it possible for her to sit comfortably without rapi

A Letter of Apology
How does one know they are truly blessed?
When the hearts they scar find for them forgiveness.
But the memory will never leave one's mind,
and the visceral infarction shows through the skin.
The longer one lives, the more failures they accrue,
and alone, in the darkness and still of the night,
the weight presses upon one's shoulders, perched
like a world of our making, our punishment to hold it.
How does one simply rebound from this weight?
Or is our heart more fragile, like any other
muscle of our body, with the aging of time?
If so, I pray mine has the strength to bear it.
No longer do I lay my burdens before God,
like a witless servant,

As you said, not the best, but still okay
The last stanza is a pretty good ending to it.
Denile = Denial
